hi all
my windows loads and freez, the mouse pointer is showing on the screen - but
dosn't move.
i tryed to reinstall windows from the cd at boot time but it freezes too at
the selection screen (the alfanumeric blue) where I have to select (enter)
(F3) or (R).
is this a windows problem or hardware?
how can I fix it?
thanks

We don't have enough information from you to determine whether the
problems are caused by hardware or software. One way of telling is to
boot with Knoppix, a Linux distro that runs from cd. If Knoppix won't
boot, then you have hardware problems. Get the Knoppix .iso from
www.knoppix.net.

Here are some general hardware troubleshooting steps:

Testing hardware failures often involves swapping out suspected parts
with known-good parts. If you can't do the testing yourself and/or are
uncomfortable opening your computer, take the machine to a professional
computer repair shop (not your local equivalent of BigStoreUSA).

make sure you don't have a floppy disk inserted
in the floppy disk compartment reason is when computers boot up they have
talk between the main hardrive & the
floppy disk to boot your main configuration by default
from the factory settings. when the computer trie to boot
try pressing F 8 for more options, & if they don't work
then you may have to press the F 10 key to do a system
recovery or system restore or roll back drivers.

let us know what happens.

Completely off-base, as usual. Troll.
