I have been following all of the tutorials on how to disable the Firewall, but I don't have an "Advanced" tab in my network devices. I am connected to the Internet through a router which is connected to a cable modem and I use Comcast. This is really bothering me because I can't do certain things online.

Hello
Start>Control Panel>(double click)Network Connections>(right click)Local
Area Connection>Properties and you should find your Advanced Tap and the
firewall

Disable your xp firewall from chooseing 'properties' on
the connection you use to connect (found on network and
dial up connections).

Then install and run a decent firewall like zone alarm.
You should then find thing a lot easier to configure
because as a new app trys to access the internet the
firewall will pop up and ask you if you want to let it
have access.

Any more problems go to:- www.aslimnetwork.co.uk
