To whomever can help:
I have had quite a few problems with my Windows XP over
the past couple of days, but the latest is when I shutdown
or reboot I get an error message and it flashes by so
quick on the screen I can't get the full info on message
that might help me track help even in the micro soft data
base. I was able to copy down a few words of message
though, I think part of main title is: "DLL
Initialization" then part of message says : "The
application failed to initialize"
That is all I can catch, I think there is an Okay I could
click but the message goes away so quickly. I am worried
about some hidden problem now. I have checked Microsoft
database re: error messages on shutdown, but not so
comfortable re: it having some suggestion about reapplying
files from my XP CD.
Also this seems to have coincidentally started to occur
after I noted my computer seeming slower to respond; when
opening it takes longer now to get icons on desktop, alot
of flashing of desktop during start up and slow opening
of other programs now like Contol Panel from start menu
and while on internet I got a explorer.exe error message
more than once.
I know this seems like alot but seems like a cascade of
events over last fewdays.
I have up to date Virus soft ware (Norton) and use Spy Bot
to remove spyware in addition to Ad Aware
THANKS to anyone who can help.
