I have a weird problem with my XP display settings.
My "Start" button is now located in the LOWER right hand
side of my screen. Many Windows applications (ex IE and
Explorer) appear backwards. Ex. If open IE the
addressbar is located on the right hand side of screen.
It seems these aplications are all scewed to the right. I
have been through the "Display" and "Taskbar" settings
maybe 20 times to no avail. Please help.

Dear Stanley,

Thanks for the help, but I'm not a beginner. What makes
this problem so embarrasing is that I have a CS degree.
Here is the problem...

The normal layout of Windows applications is the
applications menu bar starts on the left hand side of the
screen. Since the display moved the start button to right
hand corner and the system tray now appears on the left,
Windows applications (IE & explorer) menu bars are moved
to the right hand side of the screen. I'm confident that
once I fix this display these application's UI will return
to there normal Windows state.

I did some research of my own and someone else posted the
System Restore option with XP. I will use this option if
it is my last resort. I wish I knew what values in the
registry could be causing these display problems.

Please give ma any advice that you can.

Thanks

TheNewGuy
