Hi,

I have a Dell 8200 Dimension Desktop with Windows
XP. On July 1, 2004, I was running Spykiller 2004 when I
exited, my Desktop showed my regular Icons but there was
also a column on the left side of the desktop that goes
from the top od the desktop down to the start key. It
occupies about 1/4 of the desktop with the icons being on
the right side of the 1/4 blue column that reads Folder
Tasks, Other Places, & Details. If I click on the
desktop, the desktop appears in the details area. If I
click on any icon on the desktop like Internet Explorer,
the details block gives me the details of the Internet
Explorer. How do I get rid of the 1 1/2 to 2 inch column
on the left of my desktop????? Please advise.

Carey,

A Million Thank You's for your helpful reply. Do you know how I did that so I do not do it again? Thanks again for your Excellent Expertise.
