Windows XP Desktop

Somehow, I have opened a folder (in this case My Pictures) and I can't get
it off my Desktop. I can use the two-sided arrow to move it to the left, but
I still can see a portion of My Pictures at the left edge of the screen.

I don't see My Pictures in the task bar either.

I don't see My Pictures in the task bar either.

Go to the Display applet in Control Panel and look on the Desktop tab.
Click on Customize Desktop, and then click on the Web tab. If there is
a checkmark next to "Lock Desktop Items" uncheck that, Apply/OK out.

Somehow I have the task folder on the left side of mi screen ,from top to
bottom and do nort know how to take it off...please help me
