I have been using Windows XP for about one year and it has been fine.
Now all of a sudden I can't get Internet Explorer to open. When I click
on the IE it runs and runs but nothing happens. It doesn't freeze it
just keeps running and the computer responds to anything else like to
open a program. I have the recovery console installed but the registry
step back is not activated. How can I fix this problem? Thanks!

Hi Carey,
Ok let me reply to Carey. First I thank you for the URLs which have a lot of good
information. Now I fixed the problem, that turns out the browser lost its home page
setting and that was why it didn't work. I had cleaned out the registry of some programs
that I had uninstalled and also ran a registry cleaner. Evidently that was the causes I
must assume. So thanks again.
Gary
