Quite often, when I am trying to log on to the internet, or when I am on the
internet already, my computer locks up. The error log posts this message
every single time.
AMLI: ACPI BIOS is attempting to write to an illegal IO port address
(0xcf8), which lies in the 0xcf8 - 0xcff protected address range. This could
lead to system instability. Please contact your system vendor for technical
assistance.
According to HP its XP. According to XP its HP. I did take it to a pro to
have it fixed, but his fix only lasted a little while. This is my
home/school computer, and alot of my school work is done online. Some days I
spend more time trying to get on the internet than I actually spend on the
internet.
