Hi, I have a problem with activating my Windows XP product key that came with
my Toshiba Satelite Pro A60,

The problem is that when my had a BSOD, when booting up I found a CD from
Dell that I used to repair my installation of Windows XP, (Toshiba dont have
the function to repair Windows XP in their CD roms) and I reinstalled XP with
all my settings and Files.

Is there anyway to get my computer to work with the product key I got from
Toshiba? Or do I have to use the one that Dell gave me?

The Dell installation cds will only work on Dell computers.

Oh, Thanks, but does that mean I will not be able to use the Dell Computers
OS now?

But thanks for that that is very very helpful! Thank you!

Thanks!

It's strange the Dell OS worked on your Toshiba...I assume the hardware for
your laptop is properly instaled... (check the device manager). If so, once
you change the serial number (product key) with the one that is on the back
of your Toshiba, you will have a legal copy of Windows..

yes, but all I did was boot into Windows Setup, and then press "R" for repair, and then It went from there. I still thought, when I was repairing it that I will lose everything that I had though, scary.
