I run a dual boot system(Windows 98SE and Windows XP Pro). Is there a way
to boot into the Windows 98SE Startup Menu when problems arise? When I hold
the control button down during start up it does nothing but proceed to the XP
operating systems menu. When I choose Windows 98SE I have the option to press
F8 but that only brings me into the XP Startup Menu choices that will not
work with 98SE. Even if I choose to boot 98SE into Safe Mode from the menu it
still boots normally. It seems my 98SE Startup Menu options are no longer
available since I added XP as a second system. Is there any way around this?

Jerry, I hope this is the file you wanted. It is from the boot record
in the Startup and Recorvery file in notepad. The actual Boot.ini I don't
know how to copy. I can Print Screen it to the Paint utility but I don't know
how paste it to the community. Thanks, Bob

[Boot Loader]
Timeout=30
Default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(2)\WINDOWS
[Operating Systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP
Professional" /fastdetect
C:\="Microsoft Windows"
C:\$WIN_NT$.~BT\BOOTSECT.DAT="Microsoft Windows XP Professional Setup"

Simply edit "msdos.sys" (hidden file) on the 98 partition. Change the
appropriate line to read "BootMenu=1".

Ross, What is the location of this msdos.sys file that can be edited out?
I found reference to the msdos.sys file in the Msdosdrv file in notepad, but
it is only a reference. Thanks, Bob
