I am getting ready to either build or buy a new PC. I want to take
advantage of the 64 bit CPus and Windows XP 64 bit. Any idea when
Windows XP 64 bit will be available to purchase or to PC makers who
include it on a new PC?

You will probably begin to see PC makers shipping the x64 Windows XP on PCs
some time after the end of this month.
Windows XP Professional x64 Edition is an OEM only release so will not be
available to purchase in a Retail format, you may be able to buy it as you
can today via the routes that you can use to acquire other Microsoft OEM
operating systems (once it reaches those channels).

Yeah, run out and buy the new ms product. That's the reason they sell such
junk. They have the stupid buying public try it out for them instead of
making a product that is reliable.
