I get to the windows loading screen and it just sits
there for a while and loads and loads then finally it
goes to a screen that says something like a recent
hardware of software change might have caused this. Then
is gives safe mode options and last know good
configuration for the startup choices and NONE OF THEM
WORK!!!!
So I attempted a repair with the windows disk. and when i
press "R" to go to the the repair thing it freezes on
examining my harddrive. Then I even went in and tried to
do a full reinstall of windows and it did the same thing.
right before this started happening i did virus scan no
problems and ad-ware scan with no problems had firewall
and everything. I dont think that it is sp2 because i
have had it for about 2 weeks without any problems.

ANYONE KNOW WHAT THE JEEBUS IS WRONG?!?!?

Sounds like some sort of hardware went bad.

Try booting into the recovery console and running chkdsk.

Description of the Windows XP Recovery Console (314058)

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;q314058

Once in the Recovery Console, the command is: chkdsk /r

If chkdsk gives any error like: "volume appears to contain one or more unrecoverable problems" or "Unrecoverable errors" THEN the
hard drive is bad.

Replace the hard drive.

or

Format the hard drive.

It might be possible to connect the damaged hard drive to system as a Slave Drive or Secondary Drive in another computer and recover
your data.
