I just upgraded from windows xp home to windows xp pro, and as soon as the
installation was complete the system did its customary restart. It came to
the windows title/load page and then the system crashed. I tried using
system restore, however this failed. I am currently only able to load
windows in safe mode... I have no idea where to go from here. Any help would
be greatly appreciatted.

Format the disk and reload. I trust you backed up all your data?

Boot with your Windows XP Pro Upgrade CD and do a Repair Install as
per the instructions at
