Everything started happening after SP2 was installed. My explorer.exe
process was always 100% in task manager. I would just have to reboot but
after a few minutes the CPU usuage would climb up to 100%. So I went online
and found out that HOTFIX KB35732 may do this to some computers so I
uninstalled it. After rebooting the computer, it now doesn't want to start
windows. It just reloops. I've tried safe mode, last know configuration and
all the others. Nothing works. I have my disk and I can boot from the CD
but I really don't know what to do afterwards. The thing is I don't have a
Automated recovery disk, but I desperately need these files on my computer.
I could care less if I have to reformat and reinstall the whole thing but
would someone explain how I can maybe copy important files in my computer
onto a disk. Thank you so much for any help.

Try booting to xp cd,then select R for recovery,in recovery, press enter key
for password,then type:CHKDSK C: /R It'll run for 12-18 minutes,once its
thru, type:EXIT Let xp boot-up,and remove xp cd.In IE,you should then run
disk clean-up utility,then defrag.
