HI
I have setup, a long time ago, my server (win2k advanced server) and AD on it. Yesterday, it did some weard things
I reboot and it won't restart, i'm stuck with the message "Win2k could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: winnt\system32\drivers\ntfs.sys
I did try everything that i found on the WEB: restart from the CD and go in console mode. The file is their, I even replace it with the original from the CD
I tryed the automatic repair also

Any suggestion. (please don't tell me that i have to start from scratch !)

What's the contents of the hidden file c:\boot.ini?

Have you tried this:
- Boot with your Win2000 CD
- Select "Repair" when prompted
- Select "Command Console" when prompted
- Enter the Administrator's password
- Navigate to c:\winnt\system32\config
- Rename "System" to "System.bad"
- Rename "System.alt" to "System"
- Type "Exit"

Try replacing your mass-storage-device-driver. Also, the ntfs.sys you need
from your service pack. Have you tried chkdsk /p from within recovery
console?
