windows will not start

My computer will not boot to windows it boots right to the following options,
Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking, Last Know Good... Command Prompt and
Normal. I tried selecting all of these and XP home would not boot no matter
what I selected. Every time I tryed it will go into a endless loop. I have
tryed f-8 as well. Yes I did play with msconfig right before this problum. I
can fix this if i can get back to msconfig. If I must reinstall windows is
there a way to do so with out erasing every thing off my hard drive?

Yes, try to start in Recovery console or try repair/Install from here:
