When I turn on my computer, windows XP Pro will not load
up. It simply gets to the screen where the blue bar
scrolls acrossed the screen prior to windows loading up.
The blue bar pauses a few times, and eventually freezes up.
I have reinstalled windows 3 times and this keeps
happening after a few days. Any idea what is going on? I
feel that it may have something to do with Windows Updates
and possibly a conflict somewhere but I don't know. Please
email me if you have any info, thanks.

My setup

Asus Motherboard
AMD 3200+ processor
512 ram
ATI All-In-Wonder 9700
DVD/RW Drive
200 gb SATA HDD

How are you trying to 'load up'.

Proper language to describe this may include:
Perform Clean Install
Perform Upgrade
Perform Repair Install

These are specific terms and give one a real insight as to what you are
attempting to perform on your PC.

Once one is aware of your predicament, the answers may flow easily and
you'll get the 'right' solution proposed.

I am performing a clean install.

.

I suggest you check for a newer bios than your current version before running
the Windows Update as I have experienced the same problem on a recently
purchased motherboard.

Let me know if this fixes your problem.
