Windows Will Not Boot

Hi all,
My system suddenly won't boot and the message says that a
file <windows root>system 32\hal.dll is corrupt or
missing. Does anyone know where to get this file and how
to install it??

Hi, and thanks for the help. But after following the
instructions on the link I receive an error message that
the boot ini failed. Anyone have any other suggestions??
