windows warning signs

Hi newbi again.Every time I click on a shortcut to go into one of my
favourite web sites a sign pops up telling me "Windows cannot find
'http://............And go to 'search' to find it".But the shortcut finds it
straight away and this sign always pops up.This annoys me.I have reasontly
downloaded 'Firefox',has this got anything to do with it.

You might try the URL and HTM file extension fixes here.

Fix File Associations.

If that doesn't help, try reinstalling Firefox.. remove it, then
download and install.
 
Hi Elmo,
As soon a I installed updates for firefox those signs appeared
again.I had downloaded those 2 file extensions u mentioned and it made no
difference,so I removed Firefox and started using IE again.I liked Firefox
set up too.
