Yes I was just curious as to what are the minimum Requirments for Windows
Vista? I just bought a new Laptop and I'm curious as to rather or not I'm
going to be able to upgrade it to the new Operating system. I am also curious
about my old Desktop computers ability to be upgraded to windows Vista.
Thanks

Ray;
Try the Vista newsgroups for Vista information.
microsoft.public.windows.vista.installation_setup
microsoft.public.windows.vista.general
And others.

On anything old, you'll probably be better off keeping what you already
have.

On a new laptop, you want to make sure you have plenty of RAM, 1GB and
up.

And you'll what a high-quality video chipset, for ATI or nVidia.

But as with any new MS OS, there will be freaky hardware combos that the
OS doesn't like, even though individually each component is supposedly
compatible. When Anal Fistula (VIsta) comes out, image your laptop
harddrive and try to install it will be the only real way of really
knowing.

Don't you think you should have investigated all this BEFORE purchasing a
new laptop that you want to run Fista?

When Microsoft stops treating its customers as thieves, I might consider
running Windoze again. Of course, I wouldn't allow it to access the
Internet. Windoze has no place on the Internet.

The minimum requirements for Pista will mean you will not get the maximum
capabilites of it. Not that you'll need it. What you will need so Pista runs
well;

3.0 Ghz Chip (Thankfully only one)
2.0 GB RAM
256 MB RAM on the graphics card.

Unless the price of such hardware significantly reduces in price (RAM is
already cheap), you will also need,

$$$. Especially for the graphics card.
