Periodically my Windows Vista Home Premium quits and gives me a black screen.
I have to then shut down the computer and restart. Any assistance would be
appreciated.

Restart in Safe Mode and check the Event Viewer to see if there any logged
messages related to hardware failure and report back here.

I have a Toshiba Laptop. I'm not sure where to find the Event Viewer when I
start the computer in Safe Mode.

Andre,

Here are the Error Messages I found that I think have to do with hardware.

1. IRQARB: ACPI BIOS does not contain an IRQ for the device in PCI slot 5,
function 0. Please contact your system vendor for technical assistance. Same
error for slot 4 & 6

2. Kernel-WHEA
Machine Check Event reported is a fatal Bus or Interconnect error.

Thanks for any help you can give me.
