Can anyone help to explain what is Windows Vista 101?? Any specific reason
for using the term "101"??
Thanks.

Without further details to provide context to your question a meaningful
answer is not possible. However, one common use for the term "101" is as in
a beginner's class ... "English 101", "Math 101" and so on.

Like "Vista for Dummies"

I think I like Mike's answer best. At times, it feels like a torture room at
times

Once you find your way around the place, it is ok.. same as with anything
new..

fwiw, imo, etc if you have the hardware Vista is a real treat.

I have the hardware, I just don't like what they've done with the place. If
I don't want to run Aero, and I don't. They made classic mode look even
worse then ever. I hate the layout of IE7, I don't like the scrolling left
pane in Windows Explorer, No likey the UAC. I don't like having to reclaim
control of folders, I don't like Windows Mail, I don't like the instant
search feature (actually the way it works) and so far, though it will get
better, Gaming performance is slower and for some, Internet play has become
a burden.

But it's not limited to Vista, I think they have totally ruined the look of
Office in the 2007 release. I don't like what Roxio did with Version 9 and
Battlefield 2142 just doesn't feel like the other Battlefield games.

Now on the flip side an innovation I didn't like at first, but quickly feel
in love with, Is Supreme Commanders ability to zoom out to Satellite view
and place my mouse where I want to zoom back into. No more scrolling across
the map, just point and roll out and in. Vista for me, just doesn't have
very many of those really cool features like that one in Supreme Commander.

Obviously alot of this is personal taste and choice, and after 3 1/2 months
of use, I still haven't gotten use to much of anything on Vista
