I have the only account on my computer with XP home addition. After
setting a password then removing it...the computer will no longer boot
directly to the Windows desktop. It comes up with the User Login and a
password window opens. No password is need and you just click on the
users icon to open Windows desktop. How can I correct this so the
computer boots directly to the desktop?
Please Advise,
Gary

Click "Start" , then "Run" and type (no quotes) "Control userpasswords2", and hit OK. thne uncheck the box "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer".
