From Control Panels --> Add or Remove Programs?
Actually "Remove" or just remove them from the list without removing them
using the button "Remove" there?

If you use the button there - that actually removes the update. Like you
didn't even install it originally.

You can remove its entry - but why? Uncheck the "Show Updates" checkbox if
everything is too crowded for you.

No. Those entries will uninstall the updates already installed.

No, not from add/remove. That would uninstall the updates. You CAN remove the the hotfix files
from the hard drive to recover space if needed.

I think this is what you want... Remove Hotfix Backup Files

NOTE: The above utility will remove the backup files and the ENTRY in add/remove... Nice!

What's Safe to Delete:

Do not delete the "C:\WINDOWS\$hf_mig$" folder. It's integral for when new updates are
applied making sure things are consistent with previously applied updates and patches.
