Windows updates problem.

Hi, I installed XP SP2 and all's well. Computer was faster. Then installed
sp3 for office and the computer slowed a little. When I try the windows
updates page I get,
Windows Update has encountered an error and cannot display the requested
page.
I check through the help pages but do not find this specific message.
Help please,
Nick.

You could try the steps in this post to try to get WU to work:

Also, if you have Windows XP SP2 installed, check that the
WuWebControlClass is enabled in Internet Explorer:
