I recently received a message warning me to delete a file
that was alleged to have been a spybot. The file itself
came in the form of a teddy bear and I subsequently
erased it. However, I learned that this is a common
tactic for hackers/spammers/whatever to erase the
registry or some other important piece of software.
Subsequently, I have noticed that when I shut down, I get
a message saying the my "wupdater" is curently running
but then it fails and asks me to if I want to cancel the
transaction. My question is:
1. Is this file important, as it relates to Microsoft XP?
2. If so, how do I replace it?
