I was just wondering if anybody could help me. The problem
is i recently purchesed Windows XP Home edition, Installed
it, Got my internet connection setup, and decided to
update every thing through windows update. Every thing was
fine until the last thing. Upon updating Windows my system
crashed (Nothing new for a windows based product i
thought) anyway i restarted on for my comp to crash yet
again. This happend several times so i went into the error
log part and found several error's. I decided to reinstall
only for the same thing to happen. the third time i
reinstalled i did things bit by bit eg installed VGA
drivers then created a restore point etc etc every thing
went fine no crashing until i updated through windows
update. So i went back to my last restore point and every
thing is fine. My only worry is that i only have one
update in (Which is the blaster worm update), Has anybody
else had any of these problems or doe's any body know what
i can do about it????.

I know this is long but any help would be welcome.

Obviously you can be sure it's just the updates that are
casuing a problem. I see that the only one u have
installed is the worm one. For the rest of them, try
doing what I usually do. First install the service pack
only. Once that is done and you have restarted the
computer, you can go ahead and install the others. Other
than the service pack there a couple more upgrades (for
media player and directx) that need to be installed
separately from others. So make sure you run these 3
updates separately. Hopefully this will work, although I
can't be sure.
