Windows Update site shows blank page...

I have a system that is running Windows XP Pro SP2 and seems to run without
any problems. When trying to go to the Windows Update site, or any verison
of the link, the page comes up blank, no errors.

I've even tried to manually download the updates individually and run them.
Some were successful and others were not. Suggestions? Comments?

Looks like the second link was the trick. After starting the Automatic
Updates service and the BITS service, all is good. Thanks!
