I have Windows XP Home Edition and have been trying to update my Microsoft
Office Programme. The "Downloading Updates" Icon has appeared in my Taskbar
but nothing is downloading. I have loads of memory left so am not sure what
the problem is...Any ideas??

that url isn't working... it redirects to
http://v5.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/v5Consumer/thanks.aspx?ln=en and you
get this message:

"Thank you for your interest in Windows Update

Windows Update is the online extension of Microsoft Windows that helps you
get the most out of your computer.

Follow these steps to access Windows Update through the Help and support
Center:
Click Start, and then click Help and support.
If you are running Windows XP, click Keep your computer up-to-date with
Windows Update.
If you are running a Windows Server 2003 family product, click Windows
Update. "

.... and in my case, when i follow the instructions, i'm sent right back to
this same url and message.
