Windows update problem

Hi, I hvae Windows XP Home running with SP 2. The problem is whenever I
Update starts to download new updates when I'm on the net, I get a message
thats says Update, and Windows Service Pack Setup has encountered a problem
and needs to close. This usually happens just as the download starts or a few
% in. Please help. Thanks
