First let me state what had happened before my problem. i
caught the virus w32.blaster worm on my system.i could
not access the internet to get the info from norton anti-
virus to tell me how to get rid of the worm.a friend of
mine cleaned out my system(or so we thought the worm was
gone) and when i tried to download my programs i got the
alert the worm was still there.after going through
different steps i was finally able to stay on line long
enough to update norton's system response to disinfect
the worm.now i try to update windows xp most cridical
updates the first one being my service pack i get a setup
error(0x80070005)i've taken all of windows steps to try
to rectify the problem with no luck. i have went into
registry,system recovery,checked date & time,network
drives,i disabled system restore until i removed the
worm,enabled it and i still cannot get windows xp to let
me in. can anyone help me i'm at my wits end. thank
