windows update problem

What does this error msg mean? It generates it when trying to install
windows updates and security patches:

Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with
error 0x80070005: Security Update for Windows XP (KB885836)

This is just one example of one patch. It does the same with every patch I
try ti install
