I have windows XP Home Edition with SP1 on it
my specs are Intel P4 3.00 ghz 1.5gig ram and ati radeon 9800 pro

I installed service pack 2 to my system and it had a missing file during
install at around 80% complete, it said ok to undo install so i clicked it
and then it said press ok to restart computer, so i did, then my computer
restarted everytime it left the windows xp boot screen, it even showed the
SP2 boot screen!

so i had to reinstall windows, just a repair no format or partitioning, i
did this now my pc hangs for 5 minutes on "Windows xp is starting up" message
during login

Why is there so many problems with My PC?

Good question. You may want to test your RAM and/or hard drive for errors.
