Windows Update: .Net Framework 1.1 Will Not Install

I reloaded Windows XP Pro on my system. I have all updates including SP1a
installed except for .net Framework 1.1. I cannot install it using Windows
Update - the install fails each time. I've tried numerous times but cannot
get it to install. I'd appreciate any helo you can give me, perhaps this is
a somewhat common problem.
 
Sorry to you all, posted this in the wrong group. I've searched the Windows
Update group and have found my answer.
