Has anyone had any problems with Windows Update failing on
XP Professional? If I go to windows update, and it finds
more than 1 or 2 critical updates to download they fail
midway through. For example - say it finds 9 patches to
download. It starts downloading them one by one, and after
#3 or #4 they all begin to fail - resulting in a screen
similar to this:

Downloading kb123456.....done!
Downloading kb388583.....done!
Downloading kb475866.....done!
Downloading kb234543.....done!
Downloading kb833792.....failed!
Downloading kb343567.....failed!
Downloading kb343424.....failed!

I have to run windows update multiple times to get all the
patches. This is particularly frustrating when there are
many patches to download. Sometimes it takes 3-4 runs
before I can get them all, and I have to reboot between
tries. Any ideas?

Click Add button for each update you want to download. Once you have what you want,
Click the "Go To Download Basket" link. Type in or browse to the location where you
want the updates saved to and then Click the "Download Now" button.
Once downloaded, you can then burn them to CD.
