Windows Update Error

I cannot get windows update to run . When I click on scan
for update it starts at 0% then immediately jumps to 100%
with the following error:
WINDOWS UPDATE ERROR
WINDOWS UPDATE HAS ENCOUNTERED AN ERROR AND CANNOT DISPLAY
THE REQUESTED PAGE.
I have tried the troubleshooting tips with no luck. My
web access is fine. I can run office update and download
updates ok. My Norton Liveupdate works ok. Any ideas?
