hello;

I'm looking to remove the windows tour files from my hard drive; it is
launched from "accessories" in "Sart\All the programms" menu of winXP
the launcher is in C:\Windows\System32\
but the files are in C:\Windows\Help\Tours

There should be a programm to remove that stuff;

Windows Tour is incorporated into the Windows XP
operating system and cannot be removed. Any attempt
to remove systems files may result in system instability.

???
how such files take part of winXP stability????
that's quite funny; not surprising to hear that from an MVP; thanks anyway;
I would like to report it to Linux community, just to provide them with some
good moments.

what is called "explorer.exe"??

the file is called "tourstart.exe" and the files are located in the help
directory;

I just would like to remove all unused files;
I think by removing all useless stuff, I can gain more that a third of taken
space by WinXP;

You've been taken in by a troll. Explorer.exe is the Windows graphical
user interface.

I don't see why you can't remove the Tour, although I've never felt the
need to do it. Why don't you try it and see what happens? That's what
we usually tell people to do in the Linux community.
