Windows that pop up when I am online

I use AOL for my ISP.
Even with the Pop Up controls on we are bombarded with
windows that pop up while we are online.
I need help to try and solve this issue because so
many windows pop up that it slows my PC down to a crawl
while online. Thanks.

I suggest using Spybot Search and Destroy

It is a shareware program that will rid you of programs that throw up the
pop-ups. The author of the program asks for a donation if you find the
product useful.
