My windows temp folder shows a total of 452mb in 2 files. When I open it I
see only 1 file that is only 1 kb. I have show hidden files selected. Where
is this other huge file?

Thanks - D. Cervoni

What a run-a-round for a simple answer.Simply go to run,type:%Temp%
In the new window,go to edit,select all,delete all.Close out,return to run,
type:C:\WINDOWS\Temp Edit,select all,delete all.In this window all might
not delete, thats ok they may be in use, after deleted in both, empty recycle
bin.

Hi Andrew
May I add to your advice that in your eagerness to give a quick solution you
forgot to mention that the poster should reboot before doing either of your
recommended fixes.
Plus NOT ALL entries in %temp% will delete either - those entered each time
on start-up will not delete. The delete process will keep stopping because
of these two or three latest entries, so it is quicker to delete in batches
of 10 or so(if there are hundreds in there)and work up to the most recent,
which you will not be allowed to delete.
This %temp% can build up quite a lot of entries especially if you switch
your computer on and off frequently during the day.
Some have reported as many as a 1000+ until they discovered its existence.

Chad, thanks for your response. Where do I go to find show system files? I
didn't see it under folder options view tab.
