Make sure your machine is virus free, the blaster worm causes this
behaviour

Hi,

Chances are pretty good that you have contracted a virus, there are many
that cause this symptom. Run a scan with an updated antivirus program in
safe mode.

Free virus removal tools:

http://www.emsisoft.com/en/
http://free.grisoft.com/doc/8/lng/us/tpl/v5/nid/3001#3001
http://www.f-secure.com/download-purchase/tools.shtml

Many are best run in Safe mode to minimize interference. Most will resist
removal in normal mode where they are active.

How to start in Safe mode:

Thanks

I've already did that but NAV did say nothing about a virus I've the 22
april virus update and it took more than 3 hours to complete the scan,
please help.

Did you run the scan in Safe mode? Or try a different scanner?

Many, many bugs avoid detection in normal mode by masking themselves,
running the scans in safe mode is required to have any chance of detecting
and removing them. Also, not all detection schemes are equal, a virus
detected by one AV scanner may not be detected by another, much depends on
the definition file supplied by the vendor.
