Windows Task Manager

Whenever I try to access my 'Windows Task Manager' the window pops up on the screen for about 2 seconds and then disappears. (I'm sure that it isn't simply minimized.) How can I fix this? Any assistance you can offer is greatly appreciated! =) Thanks!

You could be infected with one of these worms:
