Windows task bar

I have Excel 2003 ,on the task bar I do not have windows
on task bar, as I require to freeze panes in my work
sheets,
How do I freeze panes now .
On excel 2000 I just clicked on windows in excel task
tool bar & went to freeze or unfreeze task.

Try Tools + Options + View Tab. Make sure Windows in
Task bar option is ticked.

I had checked this before & it is ticked the only one
not ticked is Status bar & I cannot highlight this , have
you any other things I should Try

Aso I have reloaded Office Xp 2003 in check errors still
no change
