i have been able to get to XP recovery console and now i want to know how to
fix my pc
any help??

That article seems to be implying you're already
in the C:\Windows directory, when you type "md tmp".
Because later in the sequence, they refer to
copying things into C:\Windows\tmp . So either
you don't currently have permissions to create
a directory in C:\Windows, or you were actually
starting in some other directory.

There is a list of recovery console commands here.
Included is "cd" which stands for Change Directory.
That is the command you use to change the current
working directory.

Did you have a power interruption prior to this incident? (yes/no)

If you boot RC and you do not end up in the C:\WINDOWS directory, you
need to fix that first. Until you fix that, it makes little sense to
"try" anything else. You need to fix it.

At least you can get into Recovery Console. You need to start with:

chkdsk /r

Then fix what is left. You may not need to worry about KB307545 at
all.
