When I installed Windows XP I selected a name for my documents folder in
c:\documents and settings\myfoldername

How can I change myfoldername to mynewfoldername? I can't simply rename the
folder in Windows Explorer because it is a Windows system folder.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

You can't. Once created, they are system folders that cannot be renamed. You
can, however, create a new user with the new name and then copy the older
user profile into it.

Note that one step not listed in the article is that after creating the
destination profile you must log into it once first to create the necessary
file structure before you do the copy procedure.
