Windows System 32 opens on start up

I have never seen this until a friend has just asked me
about it. When her XP Home PC starts up and Windows
loads...it goes straight on to open a Windows which
displays Windows System 32 folder.

Any ideas guys? How to stop this? What caused it to start
happening?
