I have a question relating to startup.

When XP starts up it takes a few minutes before all programs are loaded and
if you don't wait long enough it seems to have a problem starting programs
from the desktop . I would like to be able to set something up which loads up
last and puts out a message which says 'Your computer is now ready for use '
..

Any simple solutions

Brian:

You may want to first check and see what's current starting up (and possibly
bogging down) your system.

I'll leave the question regarding the load up sequence at Startup to someone
else.

Hope this is of some help.

No way to do that, AFAIK. Turn on the computer, go get your coffee, and
come back. Or manage/reduce the number of programs that are loading at
startup. Do some clean boot troubleshooting to find out what's causing the
hold up.
