Whenever I log on to Windows I can hear my selected WAV
file, but then it plays some other WAV file I cannot
identify. It is not one of the files that Windows uses for
default sounds. Every other user account on my computer
has the same WAV file playing. Checked registry and found
that the only entries are for the WAV file that i selected
from Multimedia properties. How can I get rid of this 2nd
file?

Go to Control Panel | Sounds and Audio Devices, and on the Sound tab, look at each event that has a sound associated with it. Play each sound by clicking on the right-pointing triangle. When you hear the sound in question, you will have identified the event that causes it to play.
