windows startup failure

I am getting a windows startup failure message that is telling "windows
cannot start because a file in missing or corrupt"

System32\Drivers\pci.sys

What happened and what can I do to get it back up and running?
I last used it on Mon. 2-07-05 p.m., and today it will not boot. Can
someone help?
