Windows security alerts

Dear Group, I have turned off the automatic updates on my computer, also i
prefer to use a 3rd party firewall. Consequently i have the little Red
Shield icon displayed bottom right corner. As cute as it is, i don't really
need it.

How do i get rid of it chaps?

Control Panel>Security Center>In the left hand section of the Security
Center, click "Change the way Security Center Alerts Me". Then uncheck the
items you do not want Security Center to alert you.
