I want to completely uninstall windows from my laptop - down to dos, and
reinstall my new office xp pro from the beginning. HOW CAN I DO THIS?
Thanks

Your question seems abit messy for understanding.

First - You wish to remove your windows and bootup into DOS.

I'll like to highlight that there are afew version of dos. Dos 6.22 and the
windows dos that are limited in features. If you just want to temporary use
it, you could go to start - run - type cmd.

Else follow the following step to remove your OS. Prepare a boot disk that
allows you to do perform format on the hard disk. After which reinsert your
Dos 6.22 and install it.

Second- Reinstall Office Xp Professional

Just go Control Panel - Add/remove programs - uninstall Office XP
You can later reinstall it using the cd.

Although it's almost always a very bad thing to do, you can do that if you
want to. Just format the drive.

down to dos,

But there is no "down to DOS." Unlike some previous versions of Windows,
Windows XP isn't built on top of DOS, and if you completely uninstall it,
there is nothing left beneath it.

You can *not* do this. Office XP is an application suite. It has to be
installed within an operating system, Windows. If Windows is gone, you can't
install Microsoft Offive and you can't install any other applications
either.

If you uninstall Windows, you will have to reinstall it (or some other
operating system) before you can install *any* application programs.

As others have indicated your post is a bit unclear. Here is a link on how
to do a clean install of the XP operating system. The XP CD is bootable and
has all the tools to delete the old partitions, format and reinstall the OS.
